April 10, 200818 yr Problem: Throttle Responds Between 50-100%I am trying to get my Pro Flight Yoke and additional throttle quadrant setup and am running into problems. I am using Vista Enterprise 32bit with FS9 and FSX. Here is my problem. When I get both throttles set correctly, I don't have any response between 0-50% on either lever when pushing the lever forward. When I get to around 50%, I then start to get a response. So basically my entire throttle range is between the mid-point and end-point of the quadrant. I have gone into FSUIPC and configured the range and I get the full range of movement there. I have downloaded the most recent drivers from the website and installed them. I do not have the SST software installed. It is doing the same thing with both FS9 & FSX. Per the Saitek Forums, I have removed the Folders using regedit to no avail. I have sensitivity set to 100% and Null Zone to 0% for all axis. There are no other buttons or switches programmed. After installing the software, I removed all commands for the yoke and throttle quadrant for normal mode and slew mode. Thanks for any help,John John P. April 10, 200818 yr John,For starters, how do the controllers respond when checked within Vista??Control Panel>> Classic View>> Game ControllersIf the controllers are not responding properly within the Vista Game Controllers applet, they will not function properly with anything else.
April 10, 200818 yr Author They show as Saitek ProFlight Yoke and Proflight Throttle Quadrant when viewing thru Vista. I get full range of motion when calibrating thru FS9 & FSX, just as I do when configuring thru FSUIPC. And to add, this is happening with a variety of aircraft. I have also tried different USB ports on my PC. The next thing that I can think to do is to install the drivers on my laptop and test FS9 with that. John John P. April 11, 200818 yr Author OK, I was able to test on my laptop and after having the same problem I went back to my desktop PC and kept troubleshooting. Well, I found the problem. I noticed that after going to FSUIPC and setting the throws, the problem started. I went back to FSUIPC and after setting min and max throws I hit the reset button. That took care of the problem. Maybe that was something that I was supposed to do all along, but this is my first yoke/throttle quadrant and have never used FSUIPC for any of these settings. Thanks for all that helped.John John P. April 11, 200818 yr Hey John,Glad you got it worked out. I should have thought of the axis assignments in FSUIPC. Do you know how to set the reverse with this config? Go into FS Key settings/assignments and find the reverser assignment. F2 in FS9. Click assign Joystick button and pull one of the throttles into reverse. The button will assign and then you want to make it repeat. Now when you pull the throttle back it will activate your reverse thrust for you too :)Enjoy...-PaulCOA 626, you anywhere near NJ?Primary RigLiquid CooledIntel C2D E8500 @ 3.8Asus P5N32SLI-Plus2 gigs Corsair XMS PC6400 4 4 4 12 @940Dual OC'd XFX 8800GTX @ 2 gigs24 inch Widescreen LCD 16XAA/16XAFDual 19 inch LCD'sRaid-0+1PCPower and Cooling 1k Quad SLIhttp://home.comcast.net/~psolk/3monitorsa.htmlBackup RigAMD 4000 San Diego @ 2.72 Gigs Kingston Corsair XMS CL2XFX 7900 GTX Raid-0 Have a Wonderful Day -Paul Solk
April 11, 200818 yr Author Paul,I had that worked out before I got the rest of my throttle problems worked out. Thanks for the tip though.John John P. Navara PP ASEL-IA - 1975 Piper Arrow II Owner Complex, HP & Tailwheel endorsements https://twitch.tv/Sim_Dude
