January 29, 200323 yr I installed an AFCAD file for Simflyer's KDFW. I decided to go a back to the default airport and install Terri Kelley's add-on for the airport. I tried to install Richard Mohammed's AFCAD for the default scenery but it seems like it won't take (the Simflyer's AFCAD is still present after I imported the new file in AFCAD). I know I didn't install any overlays... How do I manually uninstall an AFCAD file in order to use a new one???Thanks for any feedback... January 29, 200323 yr Here is a thread from Tom Gibson explaining the procedure:RE: Removing AFCAD files"In response to message #0 If I only have one airport in that BGL that I modified, then I just restore the .ORIGINAL file. However, if I have several modified airports in that file, and would like to revert only one to the default airport, here's how I do that:1. Rename xxx.bgl to xxx.bgl.modified.2. Rename xxx.ORIGINAL to xxx.bgl (you now have the default BGL installed).3. Load the default airport into AFCAD, and Export it as ICAOorig.txt.4. Now rename xxx.bgl to xxx.ORIGINAL5. Rename xxx.bgl.modified to xxx.bgl (you now have your modified BGL installed).6. In AFCAD, Import your ICAOorig.txt file. When it asks to overwrite, say YES.7. Save the file. You have now reverted that one airport to the default, but kept all your other modified airports.Hope this helps,-- Tom Gibson

January 29, 200323 yr Hi Guys,Yes, my instructions were for the older version of AFCAD - it's much easier now. However, I think that Simflyers has their own AFD file included in their installation, starting with zz, I think. Don't know where they put it, though (look in the simflyers' folder first). That will have to be removed before you can use another AFCAD file.Hope this helps,-- Tom GibsonCalifornia Classic Propliners: http://www.calclassic.com/Cal Classic Alco Page: http://www.calclassic.com/alco/Freeflight Design Shop: http://www.freeflightdesign.com/ San Diego Model RR Museum: http://www.sdmodelrailroadm.com/Drop by! ___x_x_(")_x_x___ Tom Gibson CalClassic Propliner Page
