December 12, 200421 yr Brian:I'd like to see the FO operate the taxi light, only because you have to access the overhead panel in order to turn it on/off. My preference would be:1. After pressing L for "clear on the left", the FO turns on the Taxi Light.2. When the FO turns the strobes on for T/O, he also turns off the taxi light.3. The FO turns the taxi light off during his parking flow.This is a convenience issue for me.Thanks,James

December 13, 200421 yr In my opinion, the handling of the taxi lights is good as it is at the moment. The procedures regarding this differ very much from airline to airline, some of them leave the taxi lights on until passing FL100 and switch them back on descending below FL100. And some pilots turn the taxi lights off when entering the apron or gate area to not dazzle the ground crew.
