January 29, 200719 yr I'm just curious; how do you determine the altitude for the DH and DA? Is it based off mumbers on the charts or do you chose them based off something else?Ryan GamurotLucky to live Hawai'ihttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/supporter.jpg Ryan Gamurot

January 30, 200719 yr Author Hey Bryan,Which charts and where? I'm guessing on the ILS charts toward the bottom of the page below the side view of the approach. I noticed on my KLAX charts a line that says MIN and then a number in bold and another next to it in parenthesis. Above that they have different catagories like ILS, LLZ and ILS/LLZ Sidestep 06R which I'm guessing represent the different approach types for the differnt numbers. Also, is the bold number for the BARO and the other for the RA?But I noticed not all charts are the same. For example, if I were using charts for PHNL, where would I find them?http://flightaware.com/resources/airport/P...AIRPORT+DIAGRAMThanks,Ryan GamurotLucky to live Hawai'ihttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/supporter.jpg Ryan Gamurot
January 30, 200719 yr Commercial Member Hi Ryan,Routes and links to instrument approach charts via here:http://www.simroutes.com/DA is usually 200 feet above the runway.DH: 200 feet and below (radar alt is the main reference). There's a ton of info on the net that explains the charts in great detail.Cheers,Bryan B.
