Loading a Saved Flight causes a CTD

Featured Replies

This happens when I try to load a saved flight directly from the welcome screen. FSX switches to the scenery loading bar, but instead of showing any progress, it stays at 0% and then dumps out. If I go to my default flight and then switch to a saved flight, it loads ok. btw, I have tried using a saved flight as default, but it still gives me a ctd...anyone having similar problems? I'm looking for a solution...thanks...Sherm

Just something to think about. If you have all the latest updates installed like sp1 and sp2 but you are loading a flight that was created from an earlier version of the sim, you could get a crash. Subtle things have changed in the sim and an earlier version created mode might be causing some instability. Make sure all the modes you save are created from within the sims most current version.Lee

thanks for thinking about my problem. I have not installed sp2....not using vista...etc...odd, that yesterday I booted directly to a saved flight and had no problems. clearly there is something else going on in my system...again, thanks....Sherm
