February 25, 200719 yr Do they work?I mean the landclass files made for FSX. Will they work in FS9?Thank youGhiom Viguie
February 25, 200719 yr Hi,Why not use the $16.99 FSG landclass for FS9?Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/Active Sky V6 Development Team Active Sky V6 Proud SupporterHiFi Beta TeamRadar Contact Supporter: http://www.jdtllc.com/AirSource Member: http://www.air-source.us/FSEconomy Member:http://www.fseconomy.com/
February 25, 200719 yr Why ? With superior programs like UT for FS9 there is no reason to use the horrible FSX landclass. Even the FSX a really excited user will admit that the landclass ( when it's there, since half the FSX world has no landclass ) is horrible.
February 25, 200719 yr Hi,Keep in mind that UT is not landclass.Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/Active Sky V6 Development Team Active Sky V6 Proud SupporterHiFi Beta TeamRadar Contact Supporter: http://www.jdtllc.com/AirSource Member: http://www.air-source.us/FSEconomy Member:http://www.fseconomy.com/
February 25, 200719 yr Flight One Software, in cooperation with Scenery Solutions, has created their second Flight Simulator 2004 terrain upgrade package using commercial data licensed from companies like Navteq, TeleAtlas, and DMTI Spatial, that will bring your flight experience to new heights like no other terrain scenery add-on has to date. Ultimate Terrain contains nearly every road, enhanced railroads, new night lighting environment unlike anything else on the market, corrected Oceanic coastlines, accurate landclass textures, plus much more. February 26, 200719 yr Author 9I am not sure my intial question has been answered?I own FSG US Landlclass and I lie it, although I get sone glitches here and there. Will it be updated?Since I always consider that what is newer is better (everyone/everything improves with time), I wanted to kbnow whether newerly made FSX landclass (cloud9, FSGX) were compatible with FS9, before buying them eventually.Regards,Ghiom Viguie
February 26, 200719 yr Hello JimYes jim i have read the advertisment, i also own all three packages and they do contain landclass for industrial areas and citieshttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/167571.jpg

If you like palm trees in Alaska and green in the middle of winter in northern latitudes, then xclass is for you.

Is that just better textures, or landclass, or both ?

There is no commonality in landclass between FS9 and FSX beyond the broadest brush strokes and both sims should be regarded as separate entities. Having said that, some products will work on both - more by happy coincidence than design. And the best bit is, if you have it installed in one sim, you do not have to install it again in the other. So you can find out quickly enough whether it works without impacting on either sim. We have already detailed how you do that that in the forums. But landclass is not one of those products. Allcott
February 26, 200719 yr Hi All,Let's try and clear some stuff up!1. The default FSX landclass cannot be used in FS04 as another poster stated.2. If you purchase the FSG landclass or if you already own the FSG landclass you can use it with both sims. Justin himself has stated this many times. Or you can wait until FSG releases FSX Landclass. No, I would predict that it will not work in FS04.3. All the UT products have limited landclass. Here is a quote from the UT USA Manual:"Adds much more accurate landclass textures in metropolitan areas.Adds detailed land polygons for things like parks, golf courses, and cemeteries. The polygons will align with the road boundaries, just like you see them on high quality mapping services and GPS units."Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/Active Sky V6 Development Team Active Sky V6 Proud SupporterHiFi Beta TeamRadar Contact Supporter: http://www.jdtllc.com/AirSource Member: http://www.air-source.us/FSEconomy Member:http://www.fseconomy.com/

February 26, 200719 yr Both sites will explain how to use the 2 together. There are some scenery library options.Thanks,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/Active Sky V6 Development Team Active Sky V6 Proud SupporterHiFi Beta TeamRadar Contact Supporter: http://www.jdtllc.com/AirSource Member: http://www.air-source.us/FSEconomy Member:http://www.fseconomy.com/
