March 3, 200719 yr For those of you who don't already know, the F-4 over at Cloud 9 is on sale for $15.80 right now if you enter the coupon code on there website. I just bought it a few minutes ago. This has got to be the best Phantom available. I also picked up the Tornado from Lago (mostly for the in-flight refueling module). Pulling up to the tanker in the F-4 is the coolest thing I have ever done in FS9.I also bought the 707 on sale over at Captain Sim...what a screwjob!!!Just a heads up.
March 3, 200719 yr I love that 707. It's really not that bad considering it uses some of the very earliest AP technology. I think the Level Ds spoil us. RH
March 3, 200719 yr I think the problem isn't that the CS 707 uses early AP technology...it's that it uses the wrong early AP technology. Just as they got caught with three-engine start-up sounds from their earlier 727 panel, they foisted upon us a 707 with a recycled 727 AP. Does it work...yes, sort of...but for a bunch of guys that went to such lengths to produce a detailed 707 panel, to see them re-using part of a different project that doesn't match with the rest of the 707 flight deck was something of a disappointment. Not to mention the fact that the fuel quantity sub-dial needles were completely screwed up, and fuel consumption reported by the gauges differs greatly from actual fuel burn, and the EPR gauges (the primary engine reference) display absolutely useless incorrect values. Finally, all this could have been fixed in relatively short order...but in more than a year nothing has changed. I finally hacked the panel and did it for myself. So, IMHO, it really *is* that bad.RegardsBob ScottATP IMEL Gulfstream II-III-IV-VSantiago de Chile Bob Scott | President and CEO, AVSIM Inc ATP Gulfstream II-III-IV-V Sys1 (MSFS20+24/XPlane12+11): AMD 9800X3D, water 2x240mm, MSI MPG X670E Carbon, 64GB GSkill 6000/30, nVidia RTX4090FE Alienware AW3821DW 38" 21:9 GSync, 2x4TB Crucial T705 PCIe5 + 2x2TB Samsung 990 SSD, EVGA 1000P2 PSU, 12.9" iPad Pro Thrustmaster TCA Boeing Yoke, TCA Airbus Sidestick, Twin TCA Airbus Throttle quads, PFC Cirrus Pedals, Coolermaster HAF932 case Sys2 (P3Dv5/v4): i9-13900KS, water 2x360mm, ASUS Z790 Hero, 32GB GSkill 7800MHz CAS36, ASUS RTX4090 Samsung 55" JS8500 4K TV@60Hz, 3x 2TB WD SN850X 1x 4TB Crucial P3 M.2 NVME SSD, EVGA 1600T2 PSU Fiber link to Yamaha RX-V467 Home Theater Receiver, Polk/Klipsch 6" bookshelf speakers, Polk 12" subwoofer, 12.9" iPad Pro PFC yoke/throttle quad/pedals with custom Hall sensor retrofit, Thermaltake View 71 case, Stream Deck XL button box Sys3 (DCS/P3Dv4/ATS/ETS): AMD 7800X3D, MSI MPG X870E Carbon, Noctua NH-D15S, 64GB GSkill 6000/30, EVGA RTX3090 Alienware AW3420DW 34" 21:9 GSync, Corsair HX1000i PSU, 4TB Crucial T705 PCIe5 + 2TB Samsung 970Evo Plus, TM TCA Officer Pack, Saitek combat pedals, TM Warthog, TM RS300 FF wheel/pedals, Coolermaster HAF XB case
March 4, 200719 yr >I bought it but was dissapointed to find out its impossible>to use it in FSX. That is why I am holding out. From what I have seen it is a stellar aircraft, can't wait to see the FSX model! Thanks for the HU on the sale price though! Regards, MichaelKDFWNot anti FS9, just pro FSX! March 4, 200719 yr Don't be dissapointed and give Alberto a chance eh?He has in fact, promised to update it for FSX free of charge but 'Rome wasn't biult in a day', don't forget? Dave Taylor
March 5, 200719 yr Good Deal! I just bought it. It is much easier to fly (and land) than the Capt Sim F-104. I wonder how the Cloud9 F-104 compares to the Capt Sim version.RH
March 6, 200719 yr >Don't be dissapointed and give Alberto a chance eh?>>He has in fact, promised to update it for FSX free of charge>but 'Rome wasn't biult in a day', don't forget?Oh ok, I didn't know that, I thought there was only going to be a separate package which must be purchased. Will be nice if its a free update.
