May 7, 200719 yr Looking for a free weather program. What's out there.I have ASV but want something different.JimCYWG
May 7, 200719 yr FSMetar. It's what I use (in addition to FS's included Real Weather) and it does a very good job.http://personal.telefonica.terra.es/web/fsmetar/
May 7, 200719 yr HelloYou will probably find something but i doubt it will be better than ASV.I used to think is ASV perhaps over-hyped a bit,and went back to FS9s default weather live download and tried that for a while and then went back to ASV again and it really is so much better than FS9s weather engine(cant speak for others)My only minor niggle with it is when the weather updates itself in a flight it can produce quite a large stutter but i have solved this by switching to FSNAvigator view to review my flight progress as soon as i see the update coming(eggtimer)and i don't see the stutter :-hah clever or what.cheers Andy
May 7, 200719 yr Hi Andy,Have you used our throttling options? Those should remove the stuttering.Thanks,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/banners/hifi-community-sigbanner.jpghttp://www.hifisim.com/

Can I benefit from it if my AS is on Wide Client? Thanks.
May 8, 200719 yr Hi,We don't want to turn this into a support thread!!Throttling slows down those processes that are marked. You may find that Write Throttling may help. BUT, remember that over a network, there are other factors in play as well.Thanks,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/banners/hifi-community-sigbanner.jpghttp://www.hifisim.com/
