LDS 767 sound files overlooked?

Featured Replies

I put a lot of emphasis on sound files as they bring real immersion into the sim. I've had the LDS 767 for quite some time but not flying it much. The reason for me was the wind sound along with the landing gear sound on approach. They may be realistic, but they didn't sound realistic to my ear. Well, I found a great sound set by Preston Nirattisai in the file library. It replaces just a few key sound files but makes a world of difference. I did a search for some comments about this sound set but didn't find any, so I highly recommend them. The file name is 767-gear.zip.Curt

but is your ear in the cockpit or as a passenger?

I absolutely LOVE the sound package by Des Braban in the library. It changes the gear noise, but not to a very unrealistic one. In fact, it keeps many of LDS's sounds - the flaps for example. I suggest you download it and just listen before installing it. Who knows, maybe you'll like that one even more!Seeya!

I use Des Braban's 767 set. In fact you can cherry pick and throw together your own set if you don't like certain sounds. Just make sure the sound.cfg filenames are consistent.
