March 7, 200323 yr Can someone please tell me what the heck is TCAS and what do you use it for??? How do you use the TCAS in Ariane's new panel??? I bought this panel and besides the fact that it's a good looking panel (once you replace the side views that is) I see no difference and/or almighty TCAS feature that's blowing me away. Am I supposed to hear voices, bells and whistles, what?? Please help me because I would like to get my money's worth and see what all the hooplahh is about...Thanks to anyone who responds... March 7, 200323 yr Not sure what does and does not work on the Ariane panel I use the DF GA 737 panel and the DF/Ariane merge file.TCAS will show you traffic (AI, and if on-line MP aircraft if you install airbridge) in your area up to 40nm's on the TCAS gauge. March 7, 200323 yr If Ariane is a TCAS II with TA/RA should hear messages like:"Traffic", "Pull down", "pull up".Don't know if it works with AIBridge. AIBridge was made for DF 734 and works with a lot of planes. But TCAS II needs more info, AIBridge gives that info but I never tested it since I don't have Ariane panel.Jos
