September 12, 200718 yr Does anyone know of an AFCAD bgl decompiler?I'm looking for something that could spit out all relevant data concerning parking spots for an airport AFCAD.Thanks.Ford
September 12, 200718 yr Other than the lists in the AFCAD utility itself? Do you intend to recompile with other than AFCAD?bglx180.zip will decompile to xml. It is a command line utility.
September 12, 200718 yr Thanks guys. I'll try both.I'm not trying to recompile or redesign afcads. I had an idea for an enhancement or aide to AI traffic flightpanning and it requires knowing what parking spots (including types and radii) are available at the destination airport. I want to be able to automate this check.Anyway, hopefully these two will give me a place to start from.Ford
September 12, 200718 yr Microsoft's Traffic Tools Box SDK has a utility which will find and record all airport parking spots in FS - either in default airports or addon AFCAD files. The TrafficToolBox.dll needs to be in your modules folder and when you have FS running, go to the Tools top menu item and select "Dump Airports"It produces a report of all FS airports - and they look like this:KHSV,34.640447460,-86.773108095,192.0,C,5{ RUNWAY,10017,150,HARD RUNWAY,8014,150,HARD PARKING,38.0,GATE PARKING,54.0,GATE PARKING,31.0,GATE PARKING,18.0,RAMP PARKING,18.0,RAMP PARKING,54.0,GATE PARKING,18.0,RAMP PARKING,14.0,RAMP PARKING,14.0,RAMP PARKING,14.0,RAMP PARKING,14.0,RAMP PARKING,18.0,RAMP PARKING,18.0,RAMP PARKING,18.0,RAMP PARKING,10.0,RAMP PARKING,10.0,RAMP PARKING,10.0,RAMP}That's a default airport - but it does AFCAD modified airports also - reporting just the parking and runways from the AFCAD, no the default airport.
September 13, 200718 yr Thanks Reggie. THAT is almost exactly what I was looking for and definitely something I can live and work with!Ford
