The last web address Opa posted (fs-shipyards.com) doesn't point to FS Shipyards anymore, however the first web address (fs-shipyards.org) gave me the following message.- FS-Shipyards is temporarily closed -We have temporarily closed the site for some essential maintenance. This shouldn't take too long - please check back soon, apologies for the inconvenience.

Hi FolksThe FS-Shipyards website is back online.http://www.fs-shipyards.comThough it might take a day or so for the latest DNS changes to propogate to your ISP.My apologies to anyone who recently tried accessing the site. The site had been fully working, but an unauthorized person subsequently attempted to redirect the domain.HTHATBPaul

I have been using and downloading from FS-Shipyards for maybe 5 or 6 years and the Domain was always http:fs-shipyards.org and never fs-shipyards.com.So I raise the question to you Paul - basys how did you manage to remove the database from http://fs-shipyards.org which I have always used and also uploaded my files from http://fs-shipyards.org and at no time have I ever used or uploaded anything to what you now call your website. As I uploaded and only ever used http://fs-shipyards.org everyone should be careful as fs-shipyards.com may be the unauthorized website holding files no one ever upload to that website or domain.Sailorjay

You are right sailorjay as I just did a whois search http://whois.domaintools.com/fs-shipyards.org and how strange that it shows Ian Thatcher as the owner.Everyone that ever uploaded or visited FS SHIPYARDS the website you uploaded to and downloaded from was http://fs-shipyards.org so this apprears to be nothing more than a case of Basys having Hijacked everyones work and files and pretending it all belongs to him.You also only have to look at other well known Flightsim websites such as flightsim.com, simflight.com and they have taken action and removed Basys posts promoting his Hijacked website contents.LONG LIVE THE REAL FS-SHIPYARDS WE HAVE ALL GROWN TO LOVE & ENJOY http://fs-shipyards.org [Edit] I forgot.. the database for FS-Shipyards has been hijacked/stolen by Basys (Paul Donnelly as per whois search of fs-shipyards.com) so there is noting at http://fs-shipyards.org but give it time and the real shipyards will be back in action.I contacted Ian Thatcher as per the whois and as he said, leave your files at the hijacked site as in Paul Donnelly's own words... lets maintain the chain of evidence.RegardsDavid Sheridan

A Quote from Paul Donnelly's hijacked website FS-SHIPYARDS.COM - The true original fs-shipyards website !Domain Name: fs-shipyards.comCreation Date: 2004-12-29Domain Name: fs-shipyards.orgCreation Date: 2005-05-19 ... ===============================He forgot to add the following:Stolen Date: ????Database Stolen Date: ???Files/Images Stolen Date: ???Also if you do a complete whois search on fs-shipyards.com it was 1st registered to an Ian James Thatcher, the very same person who all the other fs-shipyards website are registered to.http://whois.domaintools.com/fs-shipyards.com ... notice 2 registrars What I find so disappointing is when AVSIM.COM was hacked we all came out in support for Tom and he team but what are we doing here now other than supporting what Avsim.com said it would never tolerate.Davidok..back to photoreal designing

David Don't be too quick to judge on a lack of support !It is only now that I, and a lot of other people are finding out exactly what is going on , due mainly to what you have discovered .Give it time for your findings to "do the rounds" and I think you will find plenty of support for Ian and his great site .Mark

Hold on a sec.... I just received an email about this a day or so ago, and frankly haven't had time to look into it. We'll do so and take the appropriate action. Don't be so fast to put the gun to our head, okay?

Sorry Tom but yes it was a poor use of words and was not meant to come out that way sorry Tom.I decided to do a little more checking on what Paul Donnelly has had to say and found this http://web.archive.org/web/*/fs-shipyards.com Click on Jun 14 2005 and you can see that is the very day Mr Thatcher started the redirection to his ORG website.Yes Mr Thatcher did use the website for a short time but you can see for yourself and even read every single page and then all of a sudden fs-shipyards.com became nothing more than a redirected URL to the main FS-Shipyards.ORG website. You can even read the page where Ian Thatcher is telling everyone that because of limited space and server problems he is moving the website to another server so he can use MK-Portal.It does go to show that with even a very little research Paul Donnelly did in fact hijacket Ian Thatchers website and it's database. Oh and if you have time there is a great deal more information that supports everything I have researched.Dave

Hello Everyone,I am not here to enter into any sort of Public Debate , it's not my style and never has been. All that counts is I can sit here typing this and know full well that my Personal Integrity is fully intact. I am getting older and really have no time left to bother with these types of matters anymore. For all those people that have supported me, my designs, my websites, etc over the years I would like to say thankyou. This will be my 1st and last Post as I have decided to retire completely from the Flightsim Community. Cheers and Take Care alwaysIan "thatch" Thatcher

I just now received a message from Ian's wife Tracey, saying that Ian has suffered a heart attack from all of this. He's in hospital right now, but will recover. This is supposed to be a 'hobby', isn't it ????Best wishes to Ian and his family.
