Another question,this morning, I did an ILS approach CAT 1.I did the approach brief, chosing ILS CAT 1.The ILS frequency and course are automatically set in NAV1.Passing 10000ft, I ask Steve to set RAW DATA on his side.He turns the EFIS Knob, but it set it to VOR MODE instead of APP MODE (to display full ILS in raw data). I need to manually set his ND to APP MODE. Is that normal ?

Hello Stephane,Remember that we can't "read" the actual position of the EFIS knob: that data is not available. So FS2Crew just has the FO turn the knob blindly, so to speak. I forget what the default position is for the FO's EFIS knob, but I'd make sure it's in the default position before commanding the FO to set raw data on his side.Part of your job as 'the Capt' :-) is to help cross check and correct the FO should he drop the ball :-) In the era of the Low Cost Carrier, your poor trusty FO doesn't make much money, so he's under a lot of stress and he screws up sometimes :-)Cheers,Bryan
