Captain Sim C-130

Featured Replies

I would like to know if Capt Sim fixed the flight director on the FSX version of their C-130.I bought the FS9 version and uninstalled right after. I find it strange that no review mentions how wrong the FD is. I guess many simmers don't know or don't care about a realistic FD. Having been flying for almost 20 years now I can assure you that flying hands on with the FD is great, but for me to sim with a FD as broken as the C-130 is impossible, I have to unlearn 20 years of real life experience.I mentioned that on their forum and they almost made fun of me, it's funny to have simmers tell me I don't know what I'm talking about! Only one other person on the forum with real life experience backed up my claim. Captain Sim said it would be in the next update that never materialised. Somehow I learned not to thrust them so I doudt it was fixed because nobody seems to care for a realistic FD.Also it was impossible to get the beacon lights ON before the engines are running, another error never only mentioned once on their forums and ignored by most people.I hope I don't sound to harsh on anybody, I am just confused at how such basic features can be ignored.Dan

I have Captain Sims C-130X-perience, and I have not had a problem with the flight director yet, and I have had it for about 6 months now. As far the lights go if you external power going to the bird you can turn on just about everything. You might want to consider getting A2A FSX 3D Lights. With a little experimentation you can put nice working lights on the plane where they should be.

What does the bearing pointer on the HSI display? The FS9 version points to the NDB, rather than the navaid selected in Nav1. Impossible to do a fix-to-fix on the HSI when the CDI and the BP have different sources. They promised a fix in SP1, and then again in SP2 which was never released. Wondering if it was ever fixed in the FSX version.RegardsBob ScottColonel, USAF (ret)ATP IMEL Gulfstream II-III-IV-VColorado Springs, CO
