Smaller Autogen Trees

I remember a long time ago, when FSX was first released someone had come up with a tweak to reduce the size of autogen trees that apparently improved frame rates. I am pretty sure it was a tweak rather than a new texture file. Does anyone know what I'm talking about? If so how exactly is it done?Thanks

Hi Kd,I don't know if this is exactly what you want as it is not a tweak. But, it does give you options that are supposed to improve performance by changing texture files. Search the Avsim library for treex_v2.1.zip.Hope this helps,Bill

Thanks. I will certainly try that. However, as far as I can remeber there was also a tweak in the fsx.cfg where changing a value simply changed the size of the trees.

There is a tweak in fsx.cfg that will change the number of trees displayed..is that what you are referring to?//TERRAIN_MAX_AUTOGEN_TREES_PER_CELL=1800 was 4500//TERRAIN_MAX_AUTOGEN_BUILDINGS_PER_CELL=600 was 3000

Thanks for the reply Bert but sadly no. I am referring to the actual size of each tree.
