Please Help ... Can't Get Above 10 Fps On Fsx

Featured Replies

Traffic @ 30%.Once i installed UTX Europe the fps dropped 18 - 40 for Edinboro and 1-19 for Le Bourget (Paris) and installing CDG X further dropped the average fps in the Paris area.
Read the thread Ulf posts above. You running 30% AI at CDG X scenery I am not surprised that you get 1 to 19 FPS. :)For that scenery, and your rig, I suggest:Autogen SPARSEWATER 1.x HIGHRoad traffic OFF or no higher than 6%AI at no higher than 20% (depends on the AI packages you have installed, however...)CDG X is hifi scenery but that comes at a cost. You would need to clock your rig up closer to 3.6-4.0 range to bring that fps there up to 13-19. All other areas, you can jack up the autogen and AI and water.CDG X can be your "hell scenario"--the most detailed scenery, urban area, lots of AI (relatively speaking, for the whole Paris metro--Orly, Le Bourget, Charles de Gaulle), and you can use that scenario to test FPS.Did you know that you can SAVE configs in FSX? You may want to do that--have a cfg saved for urban areas like New York, Paris, or Tokyo--and then for all other areas, have a config with higher settings.

Also since you are using UTX Europe, run the configuration tool and make sure you have RTX Moving Traffic For Freeways, Highways, Motorways and Major Roads (3D) set to Inactive. If not that will also cause a big hit in performance around Paris irregardless of what your FSX Road Traffic is set at.
