Just FYI, as another similar but not exactly same problem - when running the sim at speeds in excess of 4x (I sometimes let it rip at 8x when I don't have the time for a leisurely stroll between Narita and Frankfurt) ASA can't keep up and loses coverage, resulting in long periods without wind and cloud cover. It returns at the next update but then once I flow through the area, it disappears again. I've checked on the map, winds and clouds should be there as there are reporting stations nearby. When I reduce the sim rate to 2x or 4x, the clouds and winds aloft are there as expected.
