January 6, 200917 yr Just out of curiousity.I loaded a flight for the FS9 MD-11.On the flight planner, it stated that the cruise speed is 482 GS.I looked at the aircraft config and max cruise is listed as 482.I was thinking the cruise speed for an MD-11 is approx. 544 GS with typical knots @ 473.Is the listed speed in the aircraft config due to software limitations? Not a big deal, just wondering.PMDG, you out did yourselves on MD-11.There is not enough words to describe the excellence. January 6, 200917 yr It varies, but something around 473 is what I observed throughout beta testing and in FSX use. Dan Downs KCRP

January 6, 200917 yr Commercial Member Perry, you don't define cruise speed with Ground Speed... Ground Speed will just be the result of your TAS and actual wind. You do fly Mach numbers. Normal cruise for the MD-11 is Mach .83, high speed cruise is .84 .Ground Speed btw can easily reach 600kts and more with a nice jetstream pushing along...Regards,Markus Markus Burkhard
