January 7, 200917 yr I would appreciate anyones comments on the E8600 vs the E8500 Cpu for use with a Gigabyte GA-45-EP45-UD3R Mobo for FSX.Thank You.Frank B
January 7, 200917 yr E8600 - fsx will eat cpu's - so whatever you can afford. Overclock it with this:http://www.crazypc.com/products/ultra-120_extreme-50983.html | My Liveries | FAA ZMP | PPL ASEL | | Windows 11 | MSI Z690 Tomahawk | 12700K 4.7GHz | MSI RTX 4080 | 64GB 6000 MHz DDR5 | 500GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD | 2x 2TB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 | EVGA 850W Gold | Corsair 5000X | HP G2 (VR) / LG 27" 1440p |
January 7, 200917 yr If you were picking between the two I'd get the E8500 and overclock it to the speed of the E8600, considering the E8500 is $82 less than the E8600 and it is only 0.17GHz slower. Other than the small speed difference, the two are identical. What is your budget for your upgrade?
