FIX page bug and a couple questions

Recommended Posts

Flying into Cancun, I noticed that the FIX page displays the COURSE to the VOR instead of the radial. For Downscc... I think you do the navdata. The FMC stored frequency for CUN is 113.6. No joy on that frequency. I found it on 113.4 however. Questions When PROF and NAV are armed on the ground, how does one disarm them? I tried pressing the buttons, and turning both FD's off, but no luck. Is it possible to transmit on VHF3 on vatsim? When the GPS option is enabled, I notice that after a while, the map will be available, even though the IRS is still aligning. Is that normal? This last one is a half-bug. Occasionally, I'll find that the BARO SET skips a digit, so it goes from 30.01 to 30.03. It happens on some of my flights, and another user has indicated that it happens to him all the time. Has anybody noticed a pattern so that PMDG can look into it? Paul

I provide sidstar files for 68 US locations only. Most likely is CUN in MSFS is out of date whereas navdata is updated every 58 days in general. Other possibility is navdata is wrong, in which case you would do everyone a favor by letting them know at their support forum.

Nice catch. Will fix in next update

NAV ARMED is disengaged by pushing (left mouse click) the HDG knobIt seems there is no way to disengage PROF ARMED. I recall have discussed that with our Technical Advisors, but I don't remember the result. Maybe it is so. I will ask and let you know.

VHF3 does not exist in MSFS. It has been a while since my last VATSIM flights. Is there now a VHF3 communication possibility in VATSIM? How is that done, through SB or FSInn?

Yes it is normal. Position is available first, heading comes later.

Can't reproduce that, but I'll keep an eye on it.

Thanks Michael. I don't know if VHF3 is supported, that's why I was asking. I previously had a problem with VHF2 that I'm told was a bug, but haven't had the chance to test the workaround yet.If VHF3 isn't simulated, no big deal. I understand that most planes set up VHF3 on ACARS anyway.Paul
