January 17, 200917 yr Is it only my FSX that has such a weird Mission Tutorial 10 where you are supposed to take off and land a helicopter? According to the briefing pic I'm supposed to start at a helipad. But instead I start on a slope outside the airfield just in front of the first green box. In addition to that I find the helicopter extremely difficult to control once airborne. I use FSX SP1 with Win XP Home.

My guess would be that it is from a terrain mesh addon. Do you have addon mesh??As far as for the helicopter being extremely difficult to control once airborne, that is perfectly normal especially if you do not have alot of simulator time in one. A helicopter requires CONSTANT control input to pilot and they are inherently touchy to fly.

So helicopters are much more difficult to fly then a plane. Is this equally true real life?
