Which KMIA scenery?

Featured Replies

I've been using Fly Tampa's Miami airport scenery and it has served me pretty well but I FRF has come out with one as well. I have some of their other sceneries which aren't bad at all. I hate to give up a scenery that works but the FRF looks pretty interesting with the new J Terminal and all. How does it work for you?

It is more up to date but can't touch the quality of the Fly Tampa version... not even close.

Every cigarette takes 17 minutes off your life, every slice of bacon takes 9 minutes off your life. If you smoke and eat bacon fast enough, you can go back in time.

I don't have the Fly Tampa version, but I installed the latest FRF version the other day and it looks very nice! I also get good frame rates and there is plenty of parking. I know Fly Tampa makes some good stuff, but you might want to try the FRF version.Airbus

Digital Storm purchased 8/17/2011; Win7x64: Asus P8P67 Deluxe; Intel i7 2600K@3,9 GHZ; nVidia GTX 560Ti; 8GB DDR3 1600 Corsair Dominator; Power Corsair HX 750W; Samsung 850 EVO 500GB SSD; 300GB WD VelociRaptor; 1TB Seagate.

why not just give the FRF scenery a shot and see how you like it? it's not like you have to spend money on it...

FRF has been notoriously high on frame rates, but their MIA is pretty good--and actually good on frames. For freeware scenery, it's also pretty good quality. The only thing it has over FlyTampa is that it's way more up-to-date; taxiway and runway designations/markers are all now "identical" to their real-world counterparts. However, FRF, and freeware scenery in general, cannot come within a hundred feet of FlyTampa quality-wise. 'Nuff said. :(

I've notice that FRF have usp and fedex by 9/27 in the SW cargo. On the airport diagram it show ups northwest of 8L/26R and fedex just to the east. Have they changed?
