  1. I believe the loading screen you are witnessing pop up is due to the AI traffic repopulating as you switch from >4x time compression to 4x or below. The only way I know to stop this from occurring is to fly without AI traffic, at least while you are using time compression.
  2. I put socks in my money drawer.
  3. If only the same could be said about our poor old friend, the MD-11.
  4. Nah I'm pretty sure they'd still take a cool $165 million. In fact, they haven't even taken the page down, it's still where it has always been: http://www.precisionmanuals.com/ProductCart/pc/viewPrd.asp?idproduct=99&idcategory=15
  5. I just tried out Eric Marciano's thing, it only includes the approaching runway x and entering runway x callouts. There is no inflight or landing callouts, nor are there any taxiway take-off warnings etc. All in all it is pretty much garbage, so I hope you continue developing your realistic implementation as it is still unrivaled. Looks great so far.
  6. I'd pay for an MD-11 update, unfortunately I don't think it will happen.
  7. It is priced above the "average" because it is far and away the best aircraft package made to date. After purchasing the MD-11 on its day of release and having spendt thousand(s) of hours reading into it and flying it, I can honestly say that $80 is a bargain for what you get.
  8. If we're talking about running FS9.1, I'd say you should be able to use the MD-11. Although your graphic card is quite archaic, if you can run FS9.1 then I'd imagine you could enjoyably use the MD-11.
  9. The MD-11's AFS will not engage a Land Mode (Dual/Single) in the absence of an ILS signal, so the answer to your question is no. You could use RNAV to fly the approach and more or less line up in the direction of the runway, but it would be significantly less precise than the alignment provided using an ILS localizer.
  10. Do yourself a favor and buy the MD-11. It is beyond amazing and totally stable on my win7 machine running FSX SP2 as well as FS9.
  11. I'd buy it.
  12. Definitely interested.

  14. Even for the existing bugs?
  15. This would be interesting if possible.Bump.

Just to reiterate: You need to hit the autopilot disconnect button twice. Once to disable the autopilot and a second time to silence the aural and PFD warnings.
  17. It will probably blow your mind.
  18. Go to your PMDG MD-11 aircraft.cfg and scroll down to the TWA repaint entry. Make sure that the panel field says WideScreen.[fltsim.X]title=PMDG MD-11 TWAsim=MD-11model=GEbpanel=WideScreensound=GEtexture=twakb_checklists=atc_id_color=0xffffffffatc_id=XXXXXatc_airline=TWAatc_flight_number=870ui_manufacturer=McDonnell Douglas - PMDGui_type=MD-11 GEui_variation=TWAui_typerole=MD-11 GEui_createdby=PMDGdescription=McDonnell Douglas MD-11\nPMDG\nwww.precisionmanuals.com \nProduced under license from Boeing Management Company.\nBoeing MD-11, McDonnell Douglas MD-11, MD-11, McDonnell Douglas & Boeing are among the trademarks owned by Boeing.PMDG Developer and Customer Forum available at our website. \nSounds Developed by PMDG \nThank you for supporting PMDG!\nvisual_damage=0atc_heavy=1atc_parking_types=GATE, RAMP
  19. To take a screen shot you can hit the print screen button and then paste it from clipboard into MS paint.
  20. In the load manager try re-selecting wide screen for the aircraft and then clicking the save load button.
  21. Could we possibly get a screen shot of an ILS approach at ~200ft?
  22. You'll probably end up owning them both eventually.
  23. I used to have a very similar system to yours... except I was running XP.If I remember correctly I was getting around 18 FPS in a large payware airport. In the air and at default airports I would mostly get whatever I had my frames capped at (which was around 25 or 30).
  24. They are both great performers and have very similar system demands... except the LDS model and panels show their age, while the MD-11 is state of the art as far as FS design goes.
