Hi, I remember seeing a user mod enabling the RXP weather in the PMDG 737 for FS9. I was wondering if anyone has managed to insert it into the PMDG MD-11? Preferably the FSX version.I'm terrible at panel modding, but maybe if we put our heads together we can make it work? I understand that PMDG won't endorce it officially, but I don't think there'd be any technical reason why it couldn't work?

Bump. This went off the front page real fast. 140 views so fast probably means there's probably a lot of interest but little knowhow about this. Who here did the panel mod for the 737 back in FS9? Remember how it went or where the files went? Perhaps the same procedure with some appropriate tweaks can be done to the MD-11? Suggestions people! :D

I wish PMDG could implement this with the MD11 and all there future products, I don't own the WX radar but if I could get it to work in the MD11 then I think I would buy it, then I could have it in my JS41 aswell.

I own it as well and would LOVE to have it in the MD-11. If anybody figures out how to fit the weather radar in one of the displays, please let us know.

It sounds like a very good idea, because I wouldn't like to be bored doing longhauls on the MD-11 without a weather radar, also, it makes the aircraft pretty much complete, however, because the RXP WXR has scope lines (the MD-11's WXR doesn't) and also because the MD-11 has a range and mode indicator on the right hand column of the ND, extensive modifications to the RXP WXR display would be needed because the mode indicator would not match the layout of the real MD-11's WXR. In addition, the 737 mod was done ages ago, and PMDG's method has changed since (especially because it was a legacy product translated for FS9 compatibility), so I don't know if the same theory would work, but it sounds like a very good idea.
