September 10, 200916 yr In an autoland approach my 11 simply will not bank to center the localizer. It captures both glideslope and localizer beams and tracks the GS just like it should. However the aircraft consistently flies 2 dots right of the localizer. I've fought this damn problem for a year but nothing I have done has solved it. Any ideas? Thanks,Eric

September 13, 200916 yr Author Tried the repair thing--no improvement. Uninstalled and re-installed the MD-11--no improvement. There is no excuse for not being able to fly a coupled precision approach in an aircraft add-on as expensive as this. Like I said earlier, after struggling with this problem for almost a year with no positive results, I'm disappointed in PMDG!!! Incidentally it's only the PMDG product that shows this critical flaw. My other add-ons handle the localizer just fine.Eric

Do you have the PMDG 747? Does it work there?Markus Markus Burkhard
September 13, 200916 yr Could we possibly get a screen shot of an ILS approach at ~200ft? Sam Anderson Every cigarette takes 17 minutes off your life, every slice of bacon takes 9 minutes off your life. If you smoke and eat bacon fast enough, you can go back in time.
September 13, 200916 yr Author I would be glad to do it but I'm embarassed to say I don't know how. Sorry.

Sorry. To take a screen shot you can hit the print screen button and then paste it from clipboard into MS paint. September 14, 200916 yr HiDefinitely something wrong with your configuration or wrong approach procedure.I'm using PMDG Md11 for long time and FMS works like a charm.Post a picture please.P.S. Which FS version? Edin
September 14, 200916 yr Author Notice aircraft always flies right of the flight path. I have manually flown it to the left of the path but hit autoflight and it's right back to the rightHere we go-- localizer and GS "captured". Flies the GS just fine but it is far right of the localizer. Never fails, any airport, any runway, the error is always exactly like this.
September 14, 200916 yr Hope this helps: http://ops.precisionmanuals.com/wiki/How_t...Tracking_Errors The registry repair tool works most times, the 'how to' artcle above has a few other suggestions. If you have Vista, be sure to run the tool as administrator (so it can fix the registry). Dan Downs KCRP

Never fails, any airport, any runway, the error is always exactly like this.Eric,Thanks for the pictures.Little history: In jan 2008 I observed following 'misbehaviours' (on the 744 then)-- LNav not tracking magenta line -- ILS PFD True CRS, ND APP mode ILS CRS in MAG -- AUTOPILOT unable to track LOC (flying offset) -- AUTOLAND touchdown well outside RWY Edge In your pictures I see at least two of those misbehaviours (first- and third one)I then was able to correct this by applying the Registry Repair Tool as mentioned in the Threads above. Also between that date beginning 2008 and now, I'v seen many fellow simmers applying this tool with succes, also on the MD11.Consider a complete Uninstall / Re-install, including FS itself, if the tool is unable to correct your situation. Before doing that however, suggest to make some more screenshots:Very interested how these look, say 100 miles out 'on' or beside the magenta route, and when you make an ILS into Gander (CYQX) RWY03 or 13, showing the LOC offset around 500 RA.Hope to get your problem solved,Regards,Harry
September 15, 200916 yr Commercial Member Your FSX registry is corrupted in a way that the tool likely can't fix. Do a full uninstall/reinstall of the whole sim and it should fix it. Ryan MaziarzFor fastest support, please submit a ticket at http://support.precisionmanuals.com
