October 8, 200916 yr WoW. Big surprize there.. For the FS9 verson i can understand.. but for FSX?? All i can say is wow.. dont get me wrong though, i will still be buying the NG2.0 when it comes out. But i think there is soem stuff seriously lacking in the MD even though its my favorite addon. But it is PMDG's choice.Chris

October 9, 200916 yr 1. Exterior APU sound: There is none -> bug Hadn't noticed... prolly right. *shrug*2. Strobe and beacon: Never thought that the MD11 has LEDs. Well this looks really awful!Yeh theyre a bit plain. But they work as per the manual. Nothing to see here imo.3. Landing lights: They only pop out -> do not come out smoothly. On the "old" 737NG by PMDG it works perfectly.737 didn't have landing lights that pop out anyway. That said Freeware Project Tupolev Tu154M's Popout lights work nice in FS9 so it can be done, but wasn't. Not expecting it to be changed though, it's just one of those aestetic things that were not included, like HD repaint mappings etc.4. Taxi light: If you turn it on (by night) it will not show up, only the landing lights (weak) but not the nose taxi lightNot in FS9. FSX lights are very weak in comparison anyway on all aircraft including defaults. Seems to be an FSX feature rather than PMDG.5. October 9, 200916 yr Just a quick question for starters, as I cannot tell from your post:FS9 or FSX?I have the FS9 MD-11... and I am sure the APU is audible outside... I would have to check to be 100% sure, but in my mind I can hear the sounds outside on the ground with the APU running...The lights are such to be able to deal with the wingflex animations. To be honest, this sort of thing has never really bothered me, as I spend 95% of the time on a two hour flight for example in the VC view anyway...If you hit F2 after main gear touchdown, you unlock the reversers, you hear "reverse thrust available" you can then continue pressing F2 and you will get full reverse... once you have slowed to 80 or so, you may hit F1 to get back to idle...The fluttering of the control animation might be related to the way PMDG has simulated the control surface, I am not sure, but I can assure you that there is no effect on the flight dynamics. The plane hand flies like a dream... For me, one of those ideal addons for an hour of fun shooting touch and goes around an international airport, as I find it exceptionally smooth and stable in all phases of flight!Andrew Andrew Entwistle
