Higher or lower?Gary,If you buy fast memory (high freq and low latencies) make sure that your mobo is capable of utilizing the memory at the high speed and with the low latency settings. With most mobos you have to manually set the memory freq and latency settings or else the BIOS often uses autmatic settings that is far from what the sticks may deliver.If you don't intend to setup memory freqs and timings in BIOS, the extra cost for low latency memory may be wasted.What mobo and cpu do you use? Are you familiar with how to setup up memory timings and such in BIOS?
