Just a shot in the dark here but I use CH pedels and yolk. I do not use CH Control Manager, it is not even installed on my system. Joystick is disabled in FSX (I am using FSX not sure if you are) all setting for CH are made through paid version of FSUIPC. I also would check control settings in FSX and uncheck any keyboard commands related to brakes. The only brake related keyboard command I use is

Hello allJust to let you know that I have had very similar problems under FS9 with the autobrakes not working on either the 747 or MD-11. I use the full CH products set - yoke, throttles and peddles. All problems were solved by completely removing the controls and carefully reinstalling (especially the peddles) using the CH products control manager software. All works great now, no problems at all.Hope this helps, I really do recommend using the CH softwareTom (from Cheshire also)PPL EGCV

Adam,For some reason ABS is not working for you as it should and I'm afraid the advanced tutorial won't help you there. There's nothing you haven't done already if you're flying according to the basic tutorial. Regards,Markus

Gary, I'm very interested in this method of using FSUIPC, I also have a paid copy but I don't make much use of it, I would be interested to know how this is done. I've found if I disable the controller(s) in FSX I also lose mouse look which is something I would like to keep.I'd also like to thank everyone for adding to this thread, thank you. :(
Hi Adam, best if you read this post: http://forums.simflight.com/viewtopic.php?f=54&t=59729It is very easy, just go into FSUIPC set any button features that you want from the

Thanks Gary, I have set up my controllers as stated in the document above, all is looking good. I have yet to test this setup due to a new problem.Yesterday I was once again practicing with the MD11 and I got a DirectX error followed by an FSX error, this was during take off. FSX then restarted.Prior to this I had just purcased and installed MyTrafficX V5.2, I wasn't using AI at all in FSX before MyTrafficX was installed. I have uninstalled MyTrafficX but I get the same error just after take off with the MD11 and only the MD11. The strange thing is the first time this happened I got a DirectX error followed by an FSX error, but now I only ever get the FSX error. Here is the error message.fsx_error.jpgAny help would be appreciated.

I've done some research into this. When I run dxdiag I get a message saying last time DirectShow was run there was a problem, then a question to try and run it again. If I do I get the exact same error message I got first time. So it seems the problem is DirectShow, I can only assume that the PMDG MD11 uses this and this is why the error happens. The problem I have now is fixing DirectShow so it'll work again, looking around the net has not been fruitful so far, does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks.

Just try to set the Auto brake to MED or MAX, and see..What I had experienced that the reverse and spoilers and brakes are connected to each other related with the aircraft declaration rate.If your aircraft is light, so when you land the auto brake will come up until you put the reverse in full thrust, in that case your auto brake will not be active any more, Until you put your throttle in Idle..I checked it out by doing a lot of touch and gos and a lot of flights to try to find out, and I did, and I think it's not a bug PMDG knows what they are doing, maybe that's a MD-11 Special braking system to make the landing more comfortable as it can for the passengers, and also as we all know "MD-11 is Different".Regards.
