May 6, 200917 yr I wonder if it's possible to create a pilot entered procedure turn using the PROCEDURE TURN promt in the LAT REV page.Gustav
May 6, 200917 yr That is still missing from the Advanced Flight Planning section of the FMS manual I notice. Give it a try, I know I will next time I'm at my own workstation. Dan Downs KCRP
May 6, 200917 yr I always get a NOT ALLOWED message when trying and I also noticed that the PROCEDURE TURN promt is dark green. What does that mean? Thanks;Gustav
May 6, 200917 yr My first guess is then it is not implemented. Unless a moderator chimes in first I will give it a try too in a couple of hours. Dan Downs KCRP

Whether or not these are to be done as an update is for Michael to answer.Regards,Markus Markus Burkhard
May 6, 200917 yr Just FYI: All the procedures in the US that I provide SIDSTARS for (68 locations) have the procedure turn included in the procedure file if there is one published for the approach.Manually flying one is so easy as to be not required for an instrument check ride (they will check you on holds), just turn 45-deg left (or right if published as thus) and fly 1-min then turn 180 right (or opposite first turn) and fly to intercept final course. No wind corrections necessary as in holding, just gotta control speed to stay within designated airspace (usually 200 kts). Give that a try too. Dan Downs KCRP
May 7, 200917 yr To back up what Dan said, the procedure turn/course reversal is one of the simpler things a pilot will have to do. It's easier to just do it manually in HDS SEL. Once inbound, press the APP/LAND button and let the magic move you.Paul
