May 6, 200917 yr Re 'zooming' in & out when in outside view.Is it possible adjust the incrimentle amounts? They seem to be very large 'jumps' when zooming. Thanks Windows 10 (x64) - X-Plane 11 - M/B: Asus ROG Maximus IX Hero - CPU: i7 7700k (@5.0GHz) - RAM: 32Gb Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 @ 3200MHz - Video: GTX1080ti - Cooling: Custom water loop (EK 140 Revo D5 pump/res combo, EK EVO CPU block, EK XE360 Rad)
May 6, 200917 yr If you want smaller increments, you should try clicking on the view (just to make sure the view is selected, not some other control by accident), and use SHIFT and then press + or -. This will zoom in/out respectively in VERY small increments. May 7, 200917 yr Author That's what I used to do. For some reason it's not working for me right now.How strange! May 7, 200917 yr That's interesting, are you using any other view utility? Also check your controls menu. I can't access FSX right now, but as soon as I can I'll let you know which command to look for.Let me know how if it works out. May 7, 200917 yr Is it possible adjust the incrimentle amounts? They seem to be very large 'jumps' when zooming. What are large jumps? FS zooming seems to occur at increments of .1. Starting at 1.00, zoom out will go to .90, .80, .70, etc with each key press. I find no way to change it. Art
May 7, 200917 yr Moderator For smaller increments, hold the Shift key while adjusting +/- Zoom. Also, in FSX keep in mind that there are actually TWO systems:1. Zoom: (-/=) keys moves in 0.10 % increments; hold Shift key to move in 0.01% increments2. Camera Dolly: hold Ctrl key while using (-/=) keysThe best method while in Spot View is to dolly the camera, so you won't affect the field of view. Fr.
