Saitek X52 Pro AND Proflight yoke on same machine

Featured Replies

I have both the Saitek X52 pro and the Saitek Proflight yoke w/throttle quadrant on the same machine. (I also have the Saitek pro Rudder pedals but that is not an issue). Both controller are setup properly and everything is fine within the config of FSX. But I want to use my X52 pro for helicopters, aerobatics, p51 racing, and the F16 by Aerosoft add-on.The problem is that ever since I put the Proflight yoke on my machine, the yoke controlls the X axis all the time even though the X52 is configured to contol the X axis too.So does anyone have a method of disabling the Yoke when I fly the above mentioned helicopters/airplanes. Of course, for general aviation airplanes like the Cessna 172 Skyhawk, the yoke is fine and that is the preferred controller and that works no problem.I just cannot go from the C172 to a P51 simply by changing controllers. There has to be an easy way to do this....any ideas?

HelloA registered version of FSuipc will allow you to do what you needyou can set profiles for each aircrafts controls and disable those controlersyou dont need for that aircraft, along with a load of other things that areuseful such as reverse zones, flap detents ect.

ok, thanks..I'll try that.

ok....now it's worth a Wow!, thanks. I was skeptical about spending the money on FSUIPC4 but decided I better try it because I am not going to put up with this issue much longer. And after messing around with FSUIPC4 for an hour, I was thinking this is a joke and will not fix the problem. THEN, I got the hang of what was going on with FSUIPC4 and it was very very simple to configure all my axises through it. Now I am totally happy with it and am impressed with everything I can do now. So yes, the probelm is resolved and yes I recommend FSUIPC4 to everyone as a general tool for FSX.Thanks.....problem solved...Over and Out!

Something that's a little obscure, is that it is possible to set up FSUIPC to use different ini files. this worked very well in FS9, but Pete thought no one used it and he pulled it out of FSUIPC4. I pleaded with him and he brought it back, but it isn't quite a convenient as in FS9. It gets the job done, though.why I use this is that I have two FSX shortcuts (FSX stick and FSX yoke). Each has its own fsx.cfg and fsuipc4.ini file. For one, all the settings are set so I can fly using X45 alone with rudder pedals (though I could get rid of those too). The other uses the yoke/throttle quad, and the stick is just for extra buttons/ view hats. This way if I am too lazy to set up the yoke (I have to use my main system and computer desk, so it's in the way for general use and I have to move it away unless actually using) I can start the fsx stick and fly stick alone. Note that it's possible in fsx.cfg to point to a different control assignment file than standard.xml so you have great flexibility.scott s..
