After much cussing and playing with null-zones as suggested on here, I cannot get the AP to engage. It's come to the point where I'm going to uninstall the TM if I can't get it to work. Don't really want to do that since I love this bird. I've pushed my null zone really wide to no avail. Anyone have any clues? I'm running FSUIPC registered, btw.-Rick

Recommend you check in your calibration that the axis values are indeed zero when the yoke is centered. If you have a bad pot (or a trim pot that's bad or off-center) you may not be able to get the null zone wide enough.Other causes can be having another joystick plugged in and active, or mouse yoke/game controller etc selected in the FS Controls page.RegardsBob ScottColonel, USAF (ret)ATP IMEL Gulfstream II-III-IV-VColorado Springs, CO

It's a new yoke, so that's not the problem. No other a/c has any problems with it even when the a/c is designed to disengage the a/p on any yoke/throttle movements. Are there any plans to disable the autodisconnect function of the a/p so it can still be flown? Otherwise, I'm not going to be able to fly it at all. That would be a real shame.-Rick

All systems are go and no fault lights are on. No other controllers are used. Sometimes it will engage and sometimes it wont. VERY aggravating. MOST of the time I cannot get it to engage. Maybe 9 times out of 10. -Rick

Please verify in the FS controls menu (joysticks tab) that there are no other controllers (i.e. mouse joystick) active for the roll/pitch axes.Another thing to try is to go the the FSUIPC logging tab, and check the AdvDisplay/display window checkbox, and set up two of the offsets to values 0BB6 (aileron) and 0BB2 (elevator), with both set to type S16 in their respective drop-down box. You'll get a green window in FS showing you the real-time control axis input values seen by FS9...they must be zero to engage their respective AP axes. OK...confirm also that the AFCS channel selector is in "B"...not "A" or "AB". The AP elevator axis only works with system B selected, although the aileron channel should work in all three positions.Another possible glitch is if the FS A/P master switch has been toggled off with the "z" key (or other key or button that activates the FS autopilot master switch). This setting could also carry over from another panel or your startup situation if the AP master is off there, too...you might try the "z" key and see if the A/P will engage after that (and after clearing the AP disengaged light above the altimeter by pressing on it.Also, make sure that the line autopilot_available=1 is in the autopilot section of the aircraft.cfg.RegardsBob ScottColonel, USAF (ret)ATP IMEL Gulfstream II-III-IV-VColorado Springs, CO
