May 28, 200917 yr Has anyone tried to experiment with that?It is 60kts by default, but I have noticed, that all my WW2 overpowered fighters will turn to right very fast, no matter how far the rudder is depressed to the right. The only way to takeoff normally is to put the throttle lever veeery sloooowly. But usually I end up behing the runway.I have increased this to 200 and I am finally able to stand in the runway, but I am not satisfied with this. Maybe there is something different responsible for this abrupt left-turning tendency? All setting in 'realism' are maxed.I also noticed, that default P51 or Extra300 when putted into turn has to stop to start turning to opposite direction, no matter how much rudder is applied. It makes me mad, especially when after-landing stage when Aircraft crashes when taxing to parking Bartłomiej Ender

May 29, 200917 yr Author The abrupt left-turning tendency occurs in the real world and is due to engine torque.Yes, I know that. I also know that FSX exaggerate with this. But turning almost 90degrees before reaching ~50knots? Bartłomiej Ender
May 29, 200917 yr Yes, I know that. I also know that FSX exaggerate with this. But turning almost 90degrees before reaching ~50knots? Try turning p factor down to 50% in the settings
May 30, 200917 yr Author Try turning p factor down to 50% in the settingsI use FSpassengersX very often and it moves all the reality sliders to the right. But will give a try, sure! Bartłomiej Ender
May 30, 200917 yr BartEnder,I think Randall meant the 'p factor' in the aircraft.cfg's (FlightTuning) section. You can set to '=0.2' if it's already '=0.5'. Steer speed? Do you mean rudder authority (hehe). That is all 'somewhat' dependent on your sensitivities setting, and maybe the reality settings. Set to 90% sens and 10% null, make rudder area (in Geometry section) to double of what it is now. There is also the problem of the contact points being set wrong, to where you CAN'T steer as you might expect, FSUIPC or not. And with the P51 Racer, for example, the air file has a lot of 'dynamics' element missing with half of values being equal to '0' (zero) which does not help. I am sure there are some programers at MS are enjoying sick glee at our fraustration with the 'BOGUS' FDEs (which is SICK and does NOT qualify as an 'egg').Just curious if you are trying to fly the P51 Racer. If so, I have mods for it. Made a video and will post to YouTube by Sunday, showing take off and ground handling. Key in 'napamule' in search, to find, as you will get 1,000 videos of REAL P51 videos and will never find the FSX video (it's as if YouTube is filtering out 'FS9' and 'FSX' as tag words).Chuck BNapamule
