MD-11 FS9 Aileron lock

Featured Replies

Hi GurusSorry for my perhaps stupid question. If have just recieved the MD11 for FS9. Before going through the myriads of manual pages I liked to take a few manual take offs and landings.I have made some brief searches on my subject without any luck.My problem is that every time I have retracted flaps/slats and gear my ailerons lockup, leaving me with rudder only to control the plane. How do I release these aileron locks? :( RegardsHenrik PedersenGreenland

Not a stupid question. There are no aileron locks on the MD11, so now you can start looking at a reasonable explanation for the lack of roll control.I encourage you to try the quick tutorial flight... it is a must do even for experienced pmdg customers just 'cause the MD11 is so different from the Boeings in many ways.

Hi folks, I got the MD-11 this week and I

Oh.... Another piece of information I might add:While on final approach, after I have turned the AP OFF, the white box on the FMA stays on (AP OFF). Thats normal. But everytime I make an flight control input (Keyboard) the box flashs yellow, and the yellow MISC msg appears on the SD and the NO AUTOLAND msg also appear. They turn off as soon as i stop making the keyboard input, and the AP OFF box onthe FMA returns to white. In summury, although the AP is off, the NO AUTOLAND msg flashs everytime I make and keyboard flight control input.ThanksAntonio

Oh, I also have another hand flying (manually flying with no AP) issue: When I try to take off manually (I mean not to engange de AP after 400
