June 16, 200916 yr I thought that there used to be a "Flight Deck Companion Fourm", and if there is, I can not find it. I'm moving my FS2004 to a new computer and when I tried to install my old Flight Deck Companion (FDC - VR 1.0) it seemed to install OK then when I tried to connect it to FS2004, I received this error msg: "Subscript out of range" . Anyone know what this means , how to fix it or where else to look for the answer? ThaNKS JERRYCWO4
June 16, 200916 yr The Oncourse Software support forum has moved to their own servers so as not to be left without support again in the future if AVSIM was to suffer another hack attack.http://www.ocs-support.co.uk/forums/ Cheers, Andy.
June 16, 200916 yr Did a bit of checking around and they have removed the OnCourse product support forums. Dave has set up a forum of his own... See the site.Such a waste to just get rid of everything that was posted there. Seems like some developers jumped ship and didn't think Avsim would be back, with everything in tact. :(Anyhoo, I don't think that version is supported anymore. Mike...

ThaNKS JERRYCWO4----------------------Jerry- I have a recollection that FDC requires the reg. version of FSUIPC to run in FS9. At least that's why I have never attempted to load my old FDC CD (from FS2002) into FS9. (all add-on plane CDs seem to include the short version of FSUIPC so I've never bothered with the full version.)Alex Reid

June 23, 200916 yr Author I was finally able to "install" a mirror image of my v1.7 FDC from my old computer to my new one and even thought I have only made a partial fight it seems to be working just fine. I installed the original v1.0 to my new computer, then updated it to v 1.6 ( I probably could have skipped this step) then I substituted the whole file of FDC from my old computer to the new one and all seems to work. I think the problem was caused by a program that is supposed to "safely" let you install any program to your computer to a "verual state" and if you like the changes ( the install) you can keep them (the install) and if not it will take your computer back to it's original state ( like the old GO BACK program). I've used it before and it seemed to work but I tried 4 differant times using it BEFORE I tried to get FDC v1.7 to my new computer and it always gave me some type of error message. This time I did NOT use this "safety program" and FDC installed good, with no error messages. Thanks for the help. I'm one happy camper now hearing my old, approx 15 announcements from FDC. jerrycwo4
July 1, 200916 yr Hi there everyone,I hope it's ok to post this here, it's kinda related yet also a little off track. Having run FDC without problems with FSX, I have recently 'down-graded' to FS9 due to frame rate problems (can't afford a new machine yet lol). FDC mostly works fine I have found, but the volumes on some of the voice files (check lists, etc) are very low, and sometimes actually inaudible. This did not happen in FSX, does anyone have any clues as to why it's happening now? I'd appreciate any help you guys can offer.Just for the record, FSX is totally uninstalled, and FDC was re-installed after I installed FS9. Everything is dandy other than this :-)Regards,John
