June 19, 200916 yr I purchased a copy of the MD-11 for FS-2004 when it came out. I recently built a new PC with FS-X and I would like to upgrade the MD-11 to the FS-X version.... is there an upgrade path or do I have to purchase the full retail FS-X version?Phil R.
June 19, 200916 yr I can't answer for PMDG, but I think what you will discover is that they offered a FS9/FSX combo package at one time but that offer has been discontinued. Doesn't hurt to ask tho- but the best channel is an email direct to them with your purchase information. Dan Downs KCRP

I couldn't find any place to buy the stand alone FS9 version either. I haven't switched to FSX and don't plan to any time in the near future, so I would like to buy just the FS9 version.

The official answer was that there is no upgrade offer. You'll have to pay the full FSX retail price. Before anyone shouts at me, I'm not saying this is right or wrong, I'm just answering the OP's question.Did you say the combo has been discontinued? It's still posted on their site. Strangely it's not under the FS9 products listing, but if you go to FSX products, choose the MD-11, then go to the very bottom left hand side of the page, you'll find the link to purchase the FS9 version. I recommend it 100%, it's one of the best FS addons I've ever purchased.Perhaps cunningly hiding the FS9 purchase option is the reason why so few people purchased the FS9 version :( Just joking guys :( Gavin Barbara Over 10 years here and AVSIM is still my favourite FS site :-)
