June 27, 200916 yr Anything Geforce 8800/9800/GTS 2xx or GTX 2xx will work great as long as you have at least 512MB video RAM. I have a client running dual widescreen monitors on an 8800 GT in FS9 - runs like a champ.

I have a client running dual widescreen monitors on an 8800 GT in FS9 - runs like a champ.And to piggyback on that, an 8600 is not close to an 8800, nor is a 9600 close to a 9800--they are much watered-down versions of the 8800/9800.If you are running a 32-bit OS (XP or Vista 32), nothing bigger than 512MB of VRAM on the video card or you'll sacrifice too much of your 4GB address space to the video card. With 64-bit this is a non-issue, 1GB and beyond is OK.
