  1. To say I’m impressed would be an understatement. From the quick few circuits I’ve done she feels like a very good payware add on. Fantastic job from the team, only issue I have is on final approach she feels very twitchy, it’s hard to maintain the correct pitch and feels very very sensitive compared to the other busses. Could be something on my side.
  2. What do you expect from someone who came from the school of PMDG? Awful customer service - they need to learn from companies like Fenix and have some actual respect for their customers. As a company, no idea what they are doing it's been almost half a decade that we have all been waiting, I don't see any problem with a customer questioning that.

Problem 1 Had the same problem at the start of 3 flights. Different weights, airports, SIDs so that doesn't seem to be the problem. Basically take off as normal, arm LNAV/VNAV a few seconds after departure all is well until after a few mins (probably around 5/6000ft) I go direct to a waypoint using the FMC. Basically the autopilot doesn't know what to do it just keeps turning left until bank angle aural sounds and keeps banking! I have to disconnect the autopilot, then select HDG SEL and then LNAV again and all is good for the rest of the flight! very strange behavior - only even happens straight after departure so not sure what the problem in is!. It has nothing to do with my controller - all perfectly calibrated. Using AS2012 - never seen this on any other aircraft. Problem 2: VNAV arrival, had a last min change of arrival runway into BOS last night about 50nm before T/D so made the change and it totally screwed up VNAV to show that my VDEV was minus what my actual flight level was at the time so if I was at 36000ft my VDEV was -36000ft ! very strange. It also wanted to reduce my speed to 212kts at 36000ft! Nothing I could do could resolve the issue - deleting all the altitude and speed constraints, making new ones, copying route to RTE2 then activating - my VNAV was totally unusable for the whole descent! Weirdly enough the FMC showed the correct value it was just the autopilot and ND that were way off! Few pics of the VNAV prob: [url=http://s11.photobucket.com/user/benhewitt_sun/media/1-6.jpg.html][/url Cheers Ben
  4. I'm more for simulation rather than eye candy, one of the main reasons I'm sticking with FS9 - it feels better and my frames do not drop below 40 with LVD767 (basically the only thing I fly) with a two monitor setup. With a one monitor setup, default aircraft I get the same performance in FSX but throw in another monitor and a complex aircraft and I get half the performance - it's just choppy and messy ! FS9 looks better IMO - less cartoony and with all the addons I have it looks 1000% better than default FSX.
  5. +2 You are doing something very wrong if you think it's the worst addon.I see no difference with your settings, as already said anything over 4 does absolutely nothing.

Just installed, I never post about how good add-ons are but holy cow this thing is just outstanding ! seriously it has made FS9 look like FSX I am gob smacked at how good this is - FS9 is the holy grail ! I can not wait to try some other themes, sunset and sunrise especially are stunning. Good job guys !
  7. Hi guys need some advice about buying a new graphics card. Which one would be best specifically for FS2004. I run dual monitors too.Cheers
  8. Well said! I wonder what the PMDG MD-11 sales would have been like if the FS9 version was released first? I bet you the FS9 sales would have been higher! remember that the FSX version has probably been out almost 3 times longer than the FS9 version so that makes sense...I am very dissapointed about them going FSX only...if they are not in it for the money (which has been claimed before) why not give their long standing FS9 customers continuing support? I have no problems paying something extra for the trouble of making it FS9 compatible either.
  9. Stutters are back with me too ASA394 - I'm running ASA on a different computer over WideFS so can't be a performance issue with my computer. ASV 6.5 works perfectly. I get stuttering and drops in framerate when ASA is refreshing weather/creating up/downdrafts. Using FS9.1.
  10. Thanks for that I was wondering why it rebuilt everything on loading this morning.
  11. Yeah I've got it too, all the problems I did have before the patch seem to be solved apart from this one..it flickers once every second or so for a few minutes while updating, using the latest NVIDIA drivers for a 88GTX card. FS9.1.Ben
  12. 717? would make sense..almost identical cockpit to the MD11?Ben
  13. Hello after using ASA for a few weeks now, I was noticed that I was seeing a pretty substantial frame rate drops. I have FS locked to 40 fps and it usually sticks to this in all situations (using a high spec PC if left unlocked get 100-60fps in full weather scenarios) My frame rates kept dropping every 20 seconds or so, from a steady 40fps down to 20/17fps then back up every few seconds then a period of 40fps steady again. The displayed weather was never any more complex than with AS6 so I decided to try a flight with AS6 and it was perfect - a smooth 40fps the whole time, it did not drop below 40fps once even in complex weather formations. I then went back to ASA and saw the big FPS drops....Now I'm running ASA (and ran AS6) on another computer using Wideserver/client so I am struggling to understand why I would lose any performance on my FS machine...? This frame rate loss even happens even when weather is CAVOK so I'm confused. Also still having the screen flickers when weather is updating...could this be connected?FS computer (FS9.1):E8500 3.16ghz intel dual core4GB DDR2 8500 ram8800GTX cardLatest FSUIPC/WideserverWideserver comp:E6850 3.00ghz intel dual core2GB 6400 ram7800GTX cardLatest WideclientThanksBen
  14. Ok so this happens when ' Sending Global FS9 weather...' shows up in the log..the screen (well the 2D panel only) flashes on and off, blinking for a few minutes then stops when the update is complete I think. I am using a 8800GTX card if that helps.ThanksBen
  15. Yes but you have to cycle through it so it must have some performance impact having to load all the VC textures then drop them and load the outside textures...all I know is when running other aircraft if the VC is removed I get much better performance all around.Ben
  16. FS9 is a fantastic sim, if it aint broke why fix it..........Ben
  17. Yes have this problem too, it's really annoying. Any chance for a non VC version to cut down on textures/memory use please?Ben
  18. Since installing ASA I have an intermittent flickering screen problem. My 2D panel regardless of aircraft flickers on and off for a minute or so..it happens every 15 mins or so and only happens when running ASA. I am running ASA on another computer using WideFS to network to my FS computer. I don't have this problem with AS6 (well it does flicker but only once, not constantly for a few minutes like ASA)ThanksBenFS9
  19. Why does ASA refresh FS scenery after a few mins of loading? I'm running ASA on another computer and using WideFS. Everything seems to be working perfectly except suddenly about 5 mins after running the ASA program FS reloads and sets my aircraft in a different position causing my aircraft to crash into a building or ocean or at a different time (earlier or later time than originally set) The lastest example was I'm sat on the ground at Stansted, local time is 12.13Z then suddenly FS tells me is reloading and it reloads me at 15:18Z - any explanation? It is definitely ASA that is doing it, I've tried 5 times with ASA then 5 with AS6 and each time with ASA this happens...help please.
  20. I have the issue of ASA causing FS to reload a few mins after I start running the program. It sometimes positions me in a different place causing my aircraft to crash....this only occurs using the new ASA....Ben
