Even more realistic Sound!

Featured Replies

Hi all.I am looking for a way to improve the sound in the PMDG 737s. I currently use a package found at avsim which is a lot better than the original..For example;like in real life, you can just barely hear the engines on startup from the flightdeck. Most sounds drown in the aircond noise in the cockpit. But maybe there are packages that are even better out there.Things that I would like to see improved are:On takeoff: after spooling up and applying takeoff thrust, the noise from the packs should be very loud, drowning most other sounds (except ground roll sounds) with a roaring swooshing windsound.Gear Up noise improved: as the gears are retracted the braking sounds of the nose-wheel should be clearly noticed in the cockpit.Spoiler noise a lot lower. (This is an easy fix in the sound.cfg.)Anyone have any recommendations?//johan

Hello Johan,I suppose it's all a matter of taste. I enhanced my NG with various sound packages I found here in the library. Some particular files are better in different packages so it's wise to give them all a look. The library should be back online soon so you will have a lot of options. The best ones I can remember of are Christoffer Peterson V2, Des Braban and Emil Serafino's latest one. Also, I had found excellent callouts but I don't remember the file name.BTW, I didn't know TSS was doing NG sounds, knowing their products, they should be magnificent!

Don't bother buying the Turbinesoundstudio one. It's like a vacauum cleaner... :(

Just hear it before you buy.
