July 13, 200916 yr Hi BryanI purchased both ATR FSX & Level-D 767 FS2Crews last week. First time with your software addons.Firstly for what I have seen so far I am most impressed and it has re-ignighted my interest in FSX, so thank you.My questions are relating to the ATR as I have not tried the 767 yet (and I accept you have partially already answered it in a previous post) after T/O and at the inital climb do I understand correctly that you select HDG and then LNAV straight after on the autopilot? .... Do I hit 'Z' first before doing this to engage autopilot?Secondly I had the FMC set to 5000 doing your tutorial flight (Jeju --->Busan) and I never left this altitude , I assume soon after T/O I need to adjust this to 16000 ft?Thirdly do I need to set my control panel to 'RNAV' rather than 'STBY' when setting up the NAV initially? Finally (and sorry for so many questions) when I programme the FMC as per your tutorial (and I D/L the Youtube FMC programming tutorial) I seem to start with a different leg prior to the "D066C" leg which both your tutorials read. Thanks & Regards Dave

The FO should pre-engage HDG SEL mode while on the ground when he sets up the autopilot. If you want to call for LNAV, you'll need to press a click spot area. Please consult the manual for the location. You can engage the autopilot when desired. There is no absolute right time to turn it on.2. Yes, 5000 is just the initial altitude. You'll need to reset it to the cruise alt.3. I believe so. I don't have the manual in front of me, but I recall that's a flow action you need to perform. In the PDF manual, just do a key word search for RNAV.4. That's not an issue. You could just be using an updated nav database. The route itself is not that important; what's important is that you follow the cockpit procedures. The ATR has a steep learning curve. Print out the tutorial flight, follow it to the letter. After a few tries it'll all come naturally. The ATR is probably the most complex of all versions of FS2Crew.Cheers, B. York FS2Crew Web Site / FS2Crew Facebook Page / FS2Crew Discord
