Collected resources for improving FSX default aircraft

Featured Replies

Hi,after a reinstall of FSX I was wondering if anyone would be willing to share links to patches and extras that increase the value of FSX default aircraft, such as:-improved air files (more realistic performance and response to control input)-patches and upgrades to panels, improved gauges-improved virtual cockpits-better sound packs-additional variants of aircraft, such as different airplane configurations or models-extraordinary quality repaints that significantly improve the aircraft experienceI am hoping to collect as much *free* resources as possible in one place, thinking that it may be useful for many. For sure no one is going to turn the default 747 into a PMDG plane, but a few upgrades here and there would be nice.Christian

Other than OZx's Goose and Bell 206, I personally use Alexander Metzger's FDE updates for most default aircrafthttp://www.metzgergva.de/default_e.htm

Adding Reality XP gauges can make the default aircraft compete with the payware add-ons.. (OK - not exactly freeware, but great)See what the Baron and C172 can look like.. :(

I think a link in the video forum would be in order... I mean judging just from that screen-shot I am inclined to remain XP guageless. I assume the big reason you rave about these guages is superior fluidity of operation?Robert

Are there any pre-configured panel files at least that would integrate these gauges? If I'd have to do it myself it would probably not look like yours.

It is typically a do it yourself project, but users share previous efforts,so if you ever would like my panel files, just ask. :(

Fluidity is one factor, but graphics quality is another.. they look precisely like their realworld counterparts.
