July 18, 200916 yr Hi AllI have been running the PMDG737 600/700 successfully with a CPFlight MCP and EFIS. I recently upgraded (via CD) to the PMDG 800/900. Then I had many issues with the CPFlight MCP and EFIS not working correctly - a known issue apparently. To assist with solving these problems I need to uninstall the PMDG aircraft in all its forms and then hopefully do a fresh install.I have used the PMDG Removal Tool and have successfully removed the 800/900. In Microsft Games - FS9 folders the PMDG folder has indeed been removed. However when I load FS9 and go to the Select Aircraft drop down menu the 600/700 variants are all there. The crt panels and autopilot dont show any figures or graphics but the aircraft can be taxied and flown! How can I remove these? PMDG liveries and sounds are all there.FS9 - Windows XP- Dell 5150Thanks Bill
July 18, 200916 yr I assume you can use either the original installer or the control panel to remove the 600/700 and each livery... the liveries are not removed from the registry when you remove the aircraft. I haven't used the removal tool; therefore, this is an assumption. Dan Downs KCRP
July 18, 200916 yr Author Thanks Dan. There was nothing showing in the Add/Remove Programs in the Control Panel relating to PMDG. So I had to go to the FS9 Folder - Aircraft and manually remove the 600/700 from there using the recycle bin. Has got rid of them anyhow. Bill
August 7, 201114 yr I am not sure if these problems have been solved. I had same problems and I found the solution.I am using Windows 7 home premium 64bit version. I know you were using Windows XP but, sorry, this is for Windows 7. I couldn't get my new liveries working because they didn't show up on the variation list.I tried to modify aircraft.cfg file in "c:\.......\flight simulator 9\aircraft" folder but it didn't work.I found that the same folder and files are in another folder "c:\users\Jason (your username)\Appdata\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Flight Simulator 9\Aircraft\PMDG737-700-Winglets\Aircraft.cfg" Modify Aircraft.cfg and do the same thing for "c:\.......\flight simulator 9\aircraft\PMDG737-700-Winglets\Aircraft.cfg" I removed most PMDG variations in these files. I left only three variations in both files.
