Has your LEMG scenery been updated - i.e. does the data FS is using match the new values? If you've updated your scenery then you need to re-run MakeRwys to rebuild the database. There's a button to instigate that on RC's main screen. If your scenery doesn't include the new runway numbering, then you have to still operate RC with the old set -- whatever RC does it needs to match the world in which you are actually flying, even if that world is out of date.RegardsPete

So you mean there is no way of updating RC with the the 'world' which I am flying?

No! You read the opposite of what i said!!!The way to fly in the FS world is to run the Database Update after you install new scenery. This involves getting MakeRwys to build new files from your scenery -- the ACTUAL scenery with the ACTUAL airports you have in FS.I did say this just now. What part didn't you understand? I can try to enlarge upon it if there's something confusing you, though it is really straight-forward!If you don't have up to date scenery files in your FS installation then you won't be flying with up to date data --- as I said, you fly in the FS world, as it is! The data must match the FS world or nothing makes sense!Pete

I have recently added several new afcads (or the equivalent) to FSX through TrafficX, some of which I have edited, specificaly the comms of several UK airfields as they often share the same frequency which can make dealing with ATC a problem, many of these new airfields were in a separate folder to the addon scenery folder and so did not get picked up when I ran the new database function in RC4, so I moved the AFCADS inot the addon scenery/scenery folder and ran it again, but to no avail, (it seems to run through the process very quickly which makes me wonder if it is actually doing it right?) I point to my FSX folder through the dilogue beforhand so it is looking in the right place, but none of the frequncy changes I have made are showing up.Did I miss something?

i don't pick up the frequencies from the afcad files in v4. that is something i'm doing in v5you want to change the frequencies, you will need to edit the f4.csv file, with notepad please. there are numerous threads on this forum about the syntax of the f4.csv filejd

Ah, that explains it, I will wait for V5 then, thanks Jim.

The MakeRwys program operates using the same SCENERY.CFG file that FS does, so if it isn't picking them up, neither does FS -- so those sceneries wouldn't be active in any case.

The MakeRwys program will, when run, show progress on screen as it works through all of the entries in your SCENERY.CFG file. It takes several minutes normally, even on a default FSX scenery base. It sounds like you aren't running it, or RC isn't running it. The program needs to be placed in the main FSX folder. Have you done that?

MakeRwys does extract the frequencies, but that is ready for RCV5. As JD says, RC version 4 doesn't update frequencies from the scenery.RegardsPete
