Problem Installing Project Canarias 2006 (FS9)

Featured Replies

So I am no further forward really. Any other suggestions?

Hello,Just a more question:Is your FS2004 is installed conventionally on Disk C and it is FS2004 patched ?If not installed convntionally (I mean not on disk C or in a other place than "program fils" you can make a dummy FS2004 install like this:Create in C Progam files a new folder namedMicrosoft GamesAnd in a subfolder namedFlight Simulator 9And copy past in this folder FS9.exeNow try to install Canary in this place. If succeed .. you can copy paste in the respectives folders of your FS2004 install the scenery.Just a tought. Also (not sure about) Canary scenery maybe require FS9.1 (patched .. in case your is not)BTW I have this scenery installed with no probs (FS2004 patched and installed conventionally)Regards.bye.gifGus.

The readme says to uncompress all 3 parts to the same folder before running the .exe, did you do this?Joe

Sorted! Its working and is GREAT scenery! Thanks to all for your help. This is how I sorted it:Deleted the original downloaded Project Canarias programme, performed a system restore to before the date I downloaded Project Canarias, created a new registry path as per Mark's instructions, ran the FS9 path Utility as per Gus's suggestion, (to check the registry entry and path was correct), downloaded the Project Canarias programme again from the net and finally performed a fresh installation and this time it worked without a glitch.Once again many thanks to all, for your help and guidance, I'm off now for an Island hopping tour!Andy

Hello everyone,I've got a question. I also would like to install the project canarias 2006. But when I run PROJCA_2006.exe the installation direction is C:\canarysim and it is unchangeable so i can't install this thing in my fs9 folder. When I go on with the installation in every step of the installation I get an error for example:can't find fs9 directory, wrong directory, file doesn't exist, invalid registry key,...and hundreds of other things . When I finish the installation and run fs9 nothing of the canarian scenery has changed. So I copied the texture folder, the scenery folder and the canarysim folder how where installed in C:\canarysim into my fs9 folder. And than I started the installation of project canarias 2006 again. I still get the invalid registry key error but not the other errors. Then I started fs9 again but still nothing has changed. I've already tried everything what you have said here but nothing worked out. And now I was thinking, could this be because I haven't got the original fs9.exe but a "no-cd crack" version => ( i've lost the original cd). Can anyone help my with this please? Thanks.
