MD-11 VC Displays FPS

Featured Replies

Hi,In VC I get 60 FPS without a problem (it's limited to 60, so it could go higher). But the problem is that the displays in MD-11 (FS9), no matter what FPS limit I set in Performance Tuning, are updating at perhaps about 10 FPS, and never smooth. On 747-400, displays are smooth and update with the FPS I set in settings. The PC is defragmented, no anti-virus app running or anything that could slow it dows.I have Windows 7 RC x64.Thanks for any helpIvan

I said the same thing months ago, the PMDG Option to increase the gauge rate is a false option, it does nothing. J T Collins

It does mean the guage refresh rate is not a constraint for your system and configuration, which is a good thing. I've read that the key constraint is number of clickspots in the VC, essentially a design issue that us users have little control. For this reason, PMDG provided a switch to hide overhead switches. This feature has little effect on my system but it may help the lower end users.

Hi there.I've never heard of that switch. Where is it?MHEDBI Bilel

In the VC view only, above/behind and to left of EVAC panel.

Thanks!I have another question? Why is the VC so framekiller? Basically, there are the same gauges displayed on the 2D panel, but sticked on some 3D models.Best regards.

Hiding the 3D switches in VC have no impact here, either. It's the way FSX is coded which is why 2D is quicker than VC.Best regards,Robin.
