broken lines in 2d cockpit md-11

Featured Replies

Hi allI have a little problem with the 2d cockpit of the md-11 for FSX, there are on a few places lines that are not really look good.also in the FMC ( flap) there are a few lines that seem to be broken. I have already searched the forum but could not find an answer. Did not reinstall ( it maybe could resolve the problem ) because i just want to know what the problem is and solve it.I placed a screenshot so you know what I am talking about.BTW I have the downloaded combo version FS9/FSXbrokenlines.th.jpg

It has been mentioned before on a few occasions I'm not surprised you couldn't find anything during your searches though at its a difficult thing to summarise in a subject title. It's only appears to be a problem with ATI cards and usually cards from the 48** series and I think the older 1950XTX did it as well. There is nothing you can really do about it apart from adding yourself to the long list of customers who have contacted ATI about it and been ignored.

Cheers, Andy.

Andy's correct about the source of the problem (ATI), seems neither competitor is bug free (nVidia has lost texture problems I think) but at least ATI has contacted PMDG and has been provided the information they wanted to try to sort it out. Some progress, very little and very late but some at least.I don't like the tear but I'm used to it. Hopefully one of the driver updates will have a fix.EDIT: Hadn't thought of it until now, the J41 doesn't have this problem in the beta testing.

Hi there Well thanks for the fast replay on my question, I have a ATI 4850 card, so as you say that will have to be the problem. But still I hope there will be a solution for the problem in the near future the rest of the plane works perfect so no need to reinstall it.Thanks againGr Ruud
