August 11, 200916 yr All,I seem to have an insallation problem with my recent purchase of the F1 PC12. I have posted on their forum, which to me, is a silly way to resolve custumer service, but....anyways. I have installed this product about 7 times thus far...from streight forward to safe mode admin...the result always remains the same. I have a plane, and interior...what I don't have is the hotspots and the digital readouts...be they from the EIS or the EHSI. The radio stack doesn't work, nor does the EFIS. As I said, no clickspots or readouts.Could anyone lend me a hand?Jim
August 11, 200916 yr Are you running vista, have you disabled uac, have you allowed the gauges when FSX starts, are you running SP2, the only issue i have with it is the landing lights, something broke them and i cant get them to work again.

I downloaded the wraper from F1 and installed it...rebooted..safemode, admin, installed the plane, rebooted, and launched my first usage was from the default C172.
August 12, 200916 yr try running the uninstaller, then searching your fs folder for anything pc12 and deletereboot. reinstall as administrator. reboot. and try again
August 12, 200916 yr On my install, I had to make an exception for the the anti-virus software - the gauges have some sort of false positive viral signature that prevents them from loading, thus you see black displays. Not sure how you work that in your particular A/V solution, I just added an exception to mine. Also, I had, for the same reason, had to disable my A/V software during install. The procedure does not agree at all with security guidelines, but it solved the black gauge issue for me.Hope this helps,

August 12, 200916 yr Author try running the uninstaller, then searching your fs folder for anything pc12 and deletereboot. reinstall as administrator. reboot. and try againI don't know what it is. I did a complete uninstall and searched for all traces for F1 PC12 and deleted them. In safe and admin mode( no anti virus), I d/l the installation program from F1, and installed it. I rebooted, and loaded up fsx in normal mode. I launched a flight from the default c172, and then moved to the PC12 after I got the cessna up and running. The result was no different. I'm still missing anything that would be digital and all of the clickspots. To say I'm confused would be an understatement!Does anyone know if there are issues with Vista 64 and the F1 PC12?Jim
August 12, 200916 yr Author OK, I've solved the problem...it was my anti virus. It just didn't like F1 programing! I talked to trend micro, and with their help, I created exceptions to all of the F1 files. That was a real head banger for a bit! It didn't have anything to do with the d/l and all to do with the guages...you live and you learnJim
August 12, 200916 yr good to hear, the PC12 is by far my favorite addon next to PMDGs 747 and MD-11. I run vista x64 with it no problem so wasn't sure why it would do that, anti virus can be picky!

August 13, 200916 yr Was wondering if you (or anyone) had the FS9 version also as I was thinking of getting the FSX version but wanted to compare performance to how it was in FS9 (a bit of a resource hog)Michael,I have owned both the FS9 and FSX versions. The FSX version is much less of a resource hog. Too bad the Petraeus Index is not up to date as you could get a good idea of the PC-12's performance compared to other FSX aircraft. Petraeus Index (Maybe if you send a friendly PM to Petraeus he will update the image links)Regards,Bob
August 13, 200916 yr Thanks Bob, for the informative reply and for the link to the index, was looking for that earlier. Best, Michael KDFW
