August 20, 200916 yr Hello everyone. After being away from simming for almost a year i have decided to start flying. But unfortunentaly i can't enjoy any simming due to a very strange problem. After i installed windows vista onto my computer i have this problem, that half of my monitor is responding, and the other half isn't. It's only in FS. And if i right-click on my screen to change the view, it doesen't work either. I can select any view (spot, virtual cockpit...), but it just won't change it. Stays in my 2d panel and hangs. Thought it was vista's problem and so installed windows 7. Still, the problem is here and i have tried to find a solution but so far i haven't found one. Uploaded 2 pictures also. I have graphics Ati Radeon 9600pro 256mb and it worked fine with windows XP.Any ideas ?Johannes. All images over 200K file size Avsim limit deleted
August 20, 200916 yr I assume you got Vista drivers for your card. If I read the ATI site correctly, There is limited support for Vista and no official support for W7. Good luck.Bob Bob i5, 16 GB ram, GTX 960, FS on SSD, Windows 10 64 bit, home built works anyway.
August 20, 200916 yr I'm afraid ATI drivers are legendary to misbehave under FS... August 20, 200916 yr Thraini,Where did you get this from? Quote: 'I'm afraid ATI drivers are legendary to misbehave under FS... '. I'm afraid you are guessing and did not determine this from reading at forums, or from a report from a reliable source, so don't say you 'read it somewhere'. It's flat out UNTRUE. Get it right.Chuck BNapamule

Get it right.Chuck BNapamule...Excuse me? Well, I heard of it at the following places:1) Forum threads at AVSIM.com;2) Forum threads at Flightsim.com;3) Own experience (I once had an ATI 1600 Radeon, which wasn't too great for FS. Or, to put it differently, other games ran better than FS could)4) Heard stuff about it at FSBreak. Know that podcast at all?I must say I was quite flabberghasted when I read your post, mr. Mule. Quite frankly, your post is stupid. I know, I know, this is the interwebs and so I shouldn't be surprised with posts like these. Fact is, also on forums like these there are certain "rules of engagement", just like in the "real world". Stating things like that ("don't try to tell me where you got your info from, you're lying anyway") is rude, childish and stupid, plain and simple. No offence, for the rest. I gues you are just a nice guy who uses an ATI card and doesn't like hearing negative comments on his hardware. I am probably much the same like you in that area, except I don't post stuff like you seem to post.(Disclaimer: I'm not writing this as a reviewer, but as a normal visitor to the AVSIM boards. Anything I said here can not be taken against AVSIM) Benjamin van Soldt Windows 10 64bit - i5-8600k @ 4.7GHz - ASRock Fatality K6 Z370 - EVGA GTX1070 SC 8GB VRAM - 16GB Corsair Vengeance LPX @ 3200MHz - Samsung 960 Evo SSD M.2 NVMe 500GB - 2x Samsung 860 Evo SSD 1TB (P3Dv4/5 drive) - Seagate Barracuda 2TB 7200RPM - Seasonic FocusPlus Gold 750W - Noctua DH-15S - Fractal Design Focus G (White) Case
