August 23, 200916 yr So I just did a flight on fs2004. CYYZ - KLAS. And after being cleared for the ILS runway 25R approach, around 500ft I disengaged the autopilot and continued to fly the approach manually. but at the 200 to 150ft mark all the sudden all the trim levels the autopilot had set for the approach suddenly returned to there neutral settings, and I was thrown off the approach path and forced to make some wild maneuvers to complete the smooth landing (which I was able to do :) ).Now I have had this happen a few times but it's starting to make me wonder if I am doing something wrong on my final. So any thoughts and what might be causing this to happen? Thanks
August 23, 200916 yr By chance, do you have surface winds inhibited? Some weather add-ons have such an option and a sudden wind shift on short final would have your symptoms. Use Ctrl+Z to display the MSFS lat/lon/ias/winds info on the top of your screen and monitor winds. There is nothing inherent in the behavior of the 737 that would cause this. Please sign your name to posts in this forum. August 23, 200916 yr As a matter of fact I have active sky on, I've never thought about the wind change ill check for that on my return flight later tonightcheersAdam Hubert
August 23, 200916 yr ok so i just did a little jump from KLAX back to KLAS with the same weather loaded from my previous flight. the whole approach i was getting winds from 116 at 3kts displayed on TCAS and on the display from MSFS crtl + z the whole way down. At the 80ft mark was when all the trim settings rapidly went back to normal and rolled the plane right and pitched up. i was albe to land but pretty ugly for the passengers. hmmm
August 23, 200916 yr You are reporting an unusual problem. I'm don't understand what you intend to mean when saying trim settings go to normal? Did the pitch up and roll happen while on autoland or did it happen while handflyiing? I think you intend to mean you had uncommanded pitch up and roll, but there must be a reason you attribute it to trim changes. What are you using for game controller? Double check calibration just for grins. Dan Downs KCRP

I think I have found the problem, or at least the cause. I did a flight without active sky and no troubles at all during the final approach, then I did the exact same flight and again and I have sudden the trim change. I believe it has to do with the surface winds. But when I check in the options for active sky I am confused as to what can be the culprit. so is there anybody that has active sky that could help me with what settings can help fix thisit has something to do when I cross 100ft over the runway, I get winds that are not hitting me during the approach. (I have check to make sure its not wind shear or downburst) thank you
August 24, 200916 yr The HiFi forum is next door in AVSIM, and there are many PMDG users there as well. See if that has been discussed over there. Dan Downs KCRP
