August 26, 200916 yr I am wondering if anyone knows how to load up a 'my saved flights' flight on game startup??? I was able to do this on the old school fs4 back in the day. Is there a good place to look for command line parameters??
August 26, 200916 yr Commercial Member I'm not sitting in front of my FS computer at the moment so I haven't tested this out but you should be able "Start > Run" and paste the following into the run box. Change the .FLT filename to suit your needs, keep the quotes in place."%PROGRAMFILES%\Microsoft Games\Flight Simulator 9\fs9.exe" /FLT:"%USERPROFILE%\My Documents\Flight Simulator Files\Previous flight.FLT"...or you should be able to simply double click any .FLT file.Jim
August 26, 200916 yr HiI think the easiest way is after you set your prefered flight, you save it and in the start menu thick the option MAKE THIS THE DEFAULT FLIGHT.The next time you start FS9 he will load this flight as default.P.S. Take special attention: If you delete the aircraft "setted" for this default flight, FS9 wont start due error in loading the aircraft. (but it can be solved :( )Fly High & Take CareSparky
August 26, 200916 yr Here is another option. If you want to have the option of starting several of your saved flights , start by creating a folder on your desktop named "My flights" or something you like. Skip this step if you want to start the same flight all the time.In that folder, or on your desktop, create a new shortcut to ...\my documents\Flight Simulator Files\(insert name of saved flight).fltDouble clicking on that shortcut should launch FS at that flight.Hope this helps,JoePS. I learned this from one of Opa's "Tips and Tricks", thanks Opa. The best gift you can give your children is your time.
